Connect with your water use and $ave

SAWS’ ConnectH2O meters make it easier than ever to monitor your water use and catch potential leaks early — before they spike your bill!

Your ConnectH2O meter provides hourly water use online, rather than a single monthly read, allowing you to view your use in detail.

Getting started is simple — just log in to saws.org/myaccount to sign up. You can pay your bill, update your contact information and view your hourly water use.

You can also sign up for notifications. SAWS will automatically send you notifications if you experience a constant flow of at least 5 gallons per hour for 48 hours on your home’s meter.

If you’d like to be notified sooner, there are additional options you can select and customize by signing up for WaterSmart notifications.

  • High use: Allows you to receive a notification once a multiplier higher than normal seasonal use is reached. (You will be notified when your daily use is 1x to 5x usage greater than your average use.) For customers with relatively low usage, SAWS recommends using a higher threshold multiplier (so you won’t receive a notification every time you do an extra load of laundry or dishes.) For customers with higher usage, we recommend using a lower threshold multiplier.
  • Bill forecast: Lets you know if use is on track to exceed a set multiplier higher than normal seasonal use for a billing period. Again, you can select a multiplier between 1x and 5x your average use.
  • Unplanned use: Allows you to set a use threshold, and you will be notified if you exceed it. This is a great feature if you’re going out of town and know for sure no water should be running. You can set a window of time for these notifications to begin and end.
  • Home water report: A monthly detailed explanation of your home’s recent water use.

To sign up and customize your notifications, login to saws.watersmart.com, click settings and locate the communication preferences section. If you need more information, call us during regular business hours at 210-704-SAVE (7283).

Madelyn Perez
Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Madelyn still misses the beach — but San Antonio quickly won her over and now feels like home. With a background in business, she never anticipated a career in the water industry, but discovered a true passion for conservation work and can’t imagine being anywhere else. Outside the office, you’ll find Madelyn on the pickleball court, singing along at concerts, or spending time with her dog, Kylo.
